There are 11 orphans that EGMI supports with food and clothing at the Center of Hope Orphanage. The orphanage can hold 35 children. The community has asked that the orphanage take in more children. There are so many children in need. Please pray that God will help us provide for the needs of these children so that more children can be helped.
Presently EGMI has supplied the ophanage with chickens, goats and fruit trees to help feed the children. A secondary school should be opening in 2011 to be used to teach the children of the orphanage and locals. There they will be taught Christian based classes will include reading, writing, arithmatic as well as the english language. We will also provide trade training such as farming and seamstress.
There are still many needs of the orphanage besides the everday need of food, clothing, love and support. The orphanage needs to have a bathroom facility installed, along with some landscaping issues such as a new fence. The orpanage still needs doors as well to be painted both on the inside and outside.
